Gingham Style!

Springtime is just around the corner (well, maybe I'm getting ahead of myself a bit!), and there are few things that say "Springtime" the way gingham does. As an American, gingham seems to embody our very way of living; youthful and patriotic, innocent yet romantic, playful and unpretentious. The beauty of gingham is that yes, it is pure Americana, but can just as easily be worn to the French Riviera and look ever so chic. Gingham is an attitude. Gingham is a feeling. Gingham is universal!

My newest addition: a sweet little dress made from strawberry milkshake colored gingham, trimmed in cream crochet, with pockets and an adorable little bow! Les adorables.
My All Black Crochet Oxfords

I can't wait to find the perfect accessories to go with it...a wicker purse adorned with strawberries, cherry colored cat eye sunglasses, and a fuzzy 1950's cardigan! The whole look makes me think of strawberry milkshakes!
And now for my favorite part: inspirational photographs!
Brigitte Bardot in her favorite print: gingham!

  2. I love gingham. I just found vintage sheets that I'll be turning into a button skirt. I've been wanting more gingham in my closet.
All these photos are great. Liz looks so glamorous just laying there.
