Be sure to wear a flower in your hair ;)

Chalk it up to being a native San Franciscan, but I just adore wearing flowers in my hair. I decided it was high time to get a new do, and went for a young Elizabeth Taylor type style, which is actually a lot easier to maintain than a longer style! It is shorter in the front and longer in the back, the typical 1940's middy cut. I am still thinking about getting a body wave just for more volume...we shall see.
I am still very much in love with the idea of a Bettie bang, but sometimes I feel that it is so overdone and stereotypical of the Rockabilly culture. One time I had bangs, not the Bettie style, and got accused of being a Bettie Page wannabe! Not necessarily a bad thing, but it wasn't what I was going for! So for my 6 followers out there, what do you guys think?

  1. ha to the bangs. No bangs for you. I on the other hand, love my bangs (thank you flat iron) I have a large forehead. Love the young Liz Taylor look.

  2. We call it a fringe here in Australia (bangs is something very different!) and I couldn't live without mine! Well, I could, but I'd have to spend a FORTUNE on botox! You look so beautiful with or without. Sarah xxx

PS I hope you will consider removing the dreaded Word Verification from comments - it's HORRIBLE an I promise you will not get spam without it - just don't accept anonymous comments. And i will love you long time.
