Chalk it up to being a native San Franciscan, but I just adore wearing flowers in my hair. I decided it was high time to get a new do, and went for a young Elizabeth Taylor type style, which is actually a lot easier to maintain than a longer style! It is shorter in the front and longer in the back, the typical 1940's middy cut. I am still thinking about getting a body wave just for more volume...we shall see.
I am still very much in love with the idea of a Bettie bang, but sometimes I feel that it is so overdone and stereotypical of the Rockabilly culture. One time I had bangs, not the Bettie style, and got accused of being a Bettie Page wannabe! Not necessarily a bad thing, but it wasn't what I was going for! So for my 6 followers out there, what do you guys think?
Comrade Von Pussycat
My name is Catherine aka Comrade Von Pussycat, this blog is a cheeky homage to all of the Bond girls I grew up watching on screen and aspiring to be like. I am a California girl who fell in love, and married a Macedonian boy. We have a cat named Samson who we rescued from the snowy winter streets and who now repays me by humping my leg incessantly...such a creep! Oh, and I also happen to love the 1940's and 1950's, so stay tuned if you love vintage too!
