Sweet Like Honey

Lately, I have been dreaming about taking my first vacation to Hawaii...how can it be that I, being from California and all, haven't been to the Big Island yet? It is unfathomable. I remember those high school years, all of my friends went on a regular basis. Mexico and Hawaii. Anywho, it is long overdue. Tiki drinks, hula skirts, and Spam sushi, here I come! Hey, if Anthony Bourdain likes it, then so will I ;)
As previously mentioned, I currently live in the Balkans and I have been trying to get my paws on a bottle of setting lotion, but that seems to be nonexistent in this part of the world. Along with slips. I had to scour the entire city for a slip to wear under my summer dresses so that my unmentionables will not be visible to the public. I got so many strange looks when I asked about the slip. "A slip? No one wears those anymore", one salesgirl smugly replied. So am I the only person in the entire city who is reluctant to show off my undergarments? Methinks not. It cannot be true! Anyways, back to the story. I couldn't find setting lotion, so I found a wonderful recipe for homemade setting lotion. All you do is boil a few spoonfuls of flaxseeds in a cup of water, and voila! I have yet to try it out on a whole head of hair, but I did a test run on one curl, and it turned out amazingly light and fluffy and not crunchy at all. I think I will buy a bottle of almond oil and add a few drops to enhance the scent. I love homemade things. *le sigh*.
That is it for now, I'll be back soon :)

  2. I know, right? I mean, I know I'm shy, but I thought it was normal not to want to show everything to the entire world :P
